Potential energy and kinetic energy are very different. Potential energy is when an object stores energy and stays in it's position. You can increase potential energy by moving the object. You can decrease potential energy by making the object higher than it is. Kinetic energy is when an object is moving or in motion. Unlike potential energy, kinetic energy can be increased by making the object for faster, or you could push the object down a hill! Kinetic energy can be decreased by stopping the object or making it go slower. We can also compare the two kinds of energy! For instance, kinetic and potential energy are both a kind of energy. Also, kinetic energy and potential energy are both being used when you are on a roller coaster! In conclusion, kinetic energy and potential energy are extremely different kinds of energy for a multiple of reasons.

You also use potential and kinetic when you go sledding, because when you start at the hill it is potential, stored energy, but when you are actually going down the hill that is kinetic energy because it is energy in motion.

You can also demonstrate potential and kinetic with a car. A car is waiting at the top of the hill is and example of potential energy. Potential energy is energy that is stored. The example of kinetic energy is when the car goes down the hill. Kinetic energy is the energy that has the motion.

Potential energy is when you have the POTENTIAL to move. Where as kinetic energy is when something is actually in the process of moving. For example, Take a balloon, now blow it up, and pinch the bottom, the balloon now has potential energy, Now let go of the balloon, it now has kinetic energy.

Potential energy i think is store'd energy ready to go kinda like a lawn mower filled with gas, or a car going down a hill full speed. Kinetic energy is energy at work for example like a kid running home from school, basically when we use energy were using kinetic energy.

You can find kinetic energy when you run because it is due to its motion. You can find potential energy when your swinging because it has to do with energy stored in a system of forceful physical interactiveness. You can apply this knowledge when you use like a book you give potential energy for kinetic energy.

You can apply knowledge of potential and kinetic energy in many more ways than just from a roller coaster ride. You can also apply knowledge of potential and kinetic energy when you are in a car. I know that potential energy has to do with gravity! Potential energy means that the object can store the energy to stay in its position! Kinetic energy means that an object in motion, stays in motion!

Kinetic and potential energy can be found almost anywhere including the room where you play with your toys, playing outside, on the streets, and exercise. For example, the hot wheel cars racing the others, playing kickball or soccer, the cars driving by on the streets, and when you are dancing, running, or walking. They all include kinetic and potential energy. Kinetic energy is the energy of movement, if the object is faster it increases. If the object is higher there is more potential energy, but if its lower then there is not as much potential energy.

You can find both types of energy in archery. Potential is stored energy so that happens when your aiming, then Kinetic is energy in motion so you can find that when you release the arrow or when you draw the bow.

You can find kinetic and potential energy in everything you do even though they are the exact opposite of each other. If you don't know what those types of energy are potential is stored energy while kinetic energy is energy in motion. For example, If your walking and you stop for cars that's a type of potential energy because your stopped, but when you move it decreases the potential energy and increases the kinetic energy. Also potential energy is increased or decreased by what elevation it is at. Kinetic energy is increased or decreased by how fast the energy is moving. Overall if you notice it you can find both kinetic and potential energy all around you.

You can demonstrate potential and kinetic energy when you ride a bike, because when you start at the top of a rode hill you have potential energy, then when you go down the hill you have kinetic energy. Kinetic energy is when you add motion, when you have potential energy that energy is stored.
Gage Thompson

There is also kinetic energy when you ride your bike. Like when you're riding your bike and you go down a hill all of the kinetic energy will keep moving you and you can just stop peddling and the kinetic energy will keep you moving until the ground flattens out or when you start to peddle again.

You can have kinetic and potential energy when you are using a toy car because if the toy car was on top of something like a hill, it would have potential energy since it's storing energy. When the toy car is going down the hill then that would be an example of kinetic energy since it's energy in motion.

There is potential energy when your waiting to go home from school on a school bus that is stored energy. When you get on the bus to leave your moving and that's kinetic energy leaving to go home. Potential energy and kinetic are almost everywhere we go. One example is the bush gardens roller coaster " The Griffon". When you reach the top you stop for a few seconds, and then you go down the big drop. When you are stopped you have potential energy. While you are moving on the roller coaster you have kinetic energy. Another example is when a big rock is sitting on the edge of a tall hill, it has potential energy. But when it starts to roll down the hill it then has kinetic energy. These two types on energy is almost everywhere we go.

You use potential and kinetic energy when you are in Gym. You use Kinetic energy when you are running, walking or in motion. When you stop you make potential energy. So when your in Gym you use potential and kinetic energy.

Potential and kinetic energy have a lot in common but they are also different. One thing they have in common is the have they have the ability to change. Also if one is decreasing they other one is increasing. They also have a lot that is different. For example, potential energy is non-moving but kinetic energy is moving. Plus potential energy stores the energy unlike kinetic which works with the energy. Also potential energy can't transfer but kinetic energy can transfer from one object to the next. So potential and kinetic energy have some things in common but they mostly are different.

Potential and Kinetic energy both have to do with objects when they move or have the potential to move. Kinetic energy is the energy an object carries while it is in motion. Potential energy is the energy an object carries when it has the potential to move. While they both have to do with how we move in our everyday lives, we could not function without either one.

Kinetic energy and Potential energy have some similarities and some differences. Kinetic energy is the energy of movement, if the object is faster it increases but if it's slower it decreases. For example if a car crashes into you and the car is fast it will have more force, but if it is slower it would not have as much force. Potential energy is stored energy in an object. When an object is higher there is more Potential energy, but if its lower then there is not as much Potential energy. Kinetic and Potential energy can be transferred to one another, like a car at the top of a hill. If the car is stopped, it would be Potential energy, when it goes down the hill, it would be Kinetic energy. Kinetic and Potential energy

Potential and Kinetic energy can be found almost everywhere we go. When you have Potential energy that energy is stored. Kinetic energy is when you add motion to anything. So when you ride a bike and your at the top of the hill not moving that is Potential energy that is stored, When you start going down the hill that is Kinetic energy. The difference between them is that one moves and one doesn't. So you almost see Potential and Kinetic energy everywhere.

Kinetic and potential energy don't have very many similarities, actually they are almost the exact opposite. Potential energy is energy that is stored. It can be increased or decreased height or weight (mass). Kinetic energy is energy in motion. It can be increased or decreased by speed. Kinetic and potential energy have a few things in common. Both types of energy can be in the same object but can't be happening at the same time. Ex: if a car is waiting at a red light it is potential energy but if it is driving down the highway it is kinetic energy.

You can not only demonstrate potential and kinetic energy by a roller-coaster, you can demonstrate it with many things such as a water faucet, sledding, a balloon, and many more. If you are wondering what they are, I will give a definition of each, and some similarities and differences. Potential energy is the stored energy (not moving). The potential energy in a water faucet is when it is not turned on. The water is there, it is just stored. When the sled is at the top of the hill it is stored energy. When the balloon has air in it it is potential energy. Kinetic energy is energy in use (moving or in motion). When you turn the water on, and it is coming out, that is the kinetic. When you go down the hill on your sled, that is the energy in motion. When you let go of the balloon with air, it is kinetic.

Potential and kinetic energy have some similarities and differences. For an example, potential and kinetic energy are the same because they both have to do with something that is about energy. They are also different because potential energy is energy that is stored inside an object while kinetic energy is energy that is in motion. They have another thing that is different because potential can be increased or decreased by the amount of gravity an object has when kinetic can be increased or decreased when you change the amount of mass an object has. Potential and kinetic energy have more differences then similarities overall.

Potential energy and kinetic energy can be the same and different in many ways. Potential energy and kinetic energy are alike because they both deal with energy and how we move around. Some ways that they are different is that potential energy is stored up energy whereas kinetic energy is caused by motion. Some different examples of potential energy and kinetic energy.

Potential and Kinetic energy are alike in terms of matter because when one is in motion the other is not in motion. Decreasing and Increasing causes rest and motion for Potential and Kinetic energy. Potential energy is not relative to the environment of an object, also Potential energy is stored energy. Kinetic energy is energy in motion, kinetic energy can be transferred from one moving object to another,Kinetic energy is used to work.

You change potential and kinetic energy by changing the weight, speed , and height of the roller coaster. The roller coaster has the most potential energy when it is on the top of the hill right before you go down the hill. The roller coaster has the most kinetic energy when the roller coaster it is picking up speed. That if you increase or decrease potential or kinetic energy on a roller coaster it affects the roller coaster

The kinetic energy increases when the speed is more. The potential energy highest when the place is high or more.Kinetic energy will be less if the speed is low,and it will be more if the speed is more. The potential energy is more if the place is high, and it will be less if the place is low.If the kinetic energy is high the potential energy is low,and if the kinetic energy is low the potential energy is high.

Kinetic and potential energy are alike and different. Kinetic and potential energy are alike because they use the same objects. Also kinetic and potential energy are both a forms of energy. For example, kinetic energy is energy of motion. Potential energy is energy of position, non-moving. This is how kinetic and potential energy work on a roller coaster. When you get on a roller coaster and your up high in the air, kinetic energy decreases and potential energy increases. When you are coasting, kinetic energy increases and potential energy decreases. Kinetic and potential energy work in different ways, but they are still alike in some ways.

When it comes to comparing and contrasting, potential energy and kinetic energy have many more differences than similarities. For instance, a roller coaster has both forms of energy at one point in time. Almost every object has potential energy and kinetic energy, but at different times.

Kinetic and potential energy are closely related, but are also different, too. Kinetic energy is the energy of movement, whether it be a ball rolling down the hill, swimming laps in the pool, or a wave crashing on the shore. Potential energy is the energy of potential movement, or something that will move eventually. It may be a roller coaster sitting on the top of the track, or a car on a tall, sloped driveway. Kinetic energy is current, while potential energy is the possibility of movement in the future. Potential energy is currently dormant, however to stop kinetic energy, you must apply friction. There are also some similarities though, because they both have to do with movement and action. For example, kinetic energy may be a ball rolling down a hill, and potential energy may be a ball sitting at the top of the hill. The ball may not be moving yet, but it will, so it still is associated with movement. In summary, kinetic energy and potential energy have some similarities, but they also have differences, too.
